Sisters for Change is an international NGO that works to make laws real at the grassroots and make justice work better for marginalised women and girls. We work in India, Indonesia and the UK to combat violence against women through legal empowerment and social accountability programmes.
Sisters For Change is seeking to appoint a Researcher (immediate appointment). This is an exciting opportunity to join a young, ambitious and innovative charity that conducts cutting-edge legal empowerment programmes and legal advocacy at the national, regional and international level.
This is a full-time position. The Researcher will report to the Legal Director and will work across Sisters For Change programmes in India, Indonesia and the UK. The post is located in London with occasional travel.
What we are looking for
You will be a recent graduate, with a high Bachelor’s degree or Masters and a strong interest in social justice, women’s rights and international affairs. You will have excellent research, analytical and writing skills with experience in developing high quality materials and reports in a variety of formats. You will be confident in oral communication and presentation, able to marshal arguments in a logical and compelling manner.
In addition, you will have strong organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritise your work, juggle a variety of tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure and to deadline. You are a natural self-starter, inquisitive and curious and keen to develop your knowledge in the areas of law, women’s rights, legal capacity building and development.
