Remote would probably make you miserable

Nowhere to work, difficulty with unstructured days, and a social life that comes from work is the combination that turns remote roles into a bad year.

None of that reflects on your ability — plenty of excellent people need somewhere to go. Look for hybrid or on-site roles rather than trying to force the fit.
