Do the preparation before you apply

Interviews are usually decided in the first ten minutes, and the things you have not prepared — the reason for leaving, the examples, the questions — are exactly what gets decided on.

Above all, never criticise a previous employer. However fair the complaint, the interviewer cannot verify it and takes away one thing: you are someone who talks about employers that way.
